The Coast Cities Railway was the final manifestation of trolley service between Long Branch and Sea Girt, New Jersey. The electric trolley era in these coast cities began in 1888 and ended in 1931. The story is told in Joseph Eids book Trolleys in the Coast Cities (self-published in 1979). Nearly all of the photos here are from the from the collection of the North Jersey Chapter of the National Railroad Historical Society and are reproduced here with permission. Prints are for sale at Pebbles Train Store.
